BOLT of Nevada Freedom Riders was founded in March 2001 to unite Freedom-fighting motorcyclists in the state of Nevada. Nevada has continually discriminated against this group of citizens regarding legislation, legal actions and public sanctions for many years. We feel these actions have been done through ignorance, intolerance and unsubstantiated facts.
It is the sole purpose of BOLT of Nevada Freedom Riders to present a united front to (1) end legislation that causes harm to motorcyclists; (2) to call attention to and defeat the discrimination endured due to our lifestyle choice (3) and to prove that "bikers" are an important part of the community and deserve respect.
This shall be done through education, awareness, participation in legal and legislative matters and any other areas necessary. Our goal is to educate the people elected to represent us as well as the general public. We will point out and applaud positive issues connected to motorcycling and the riders, while trying to end the negative issues. We will solicit input and support from other motorcycle riders, organizations and groups to help with lobbying and legal efforts that prove to be harmful to our chosen sport and lifestyle.
BOLT of Nevada Freedom Riders will work with all groups and individuals who understand our cause, are wanting to learn more, and are willing to give of heir time, strength and abilities to protect our freedoms. Lost freedoms shall be regained, and we will fight to protect the few freedoms we have remaining. |
